The special quality of the Minchah (afternoon) prayer over the Shacharit (morning) and Maariv (evening) prayers is that it comes in the middle of the day, when people are occupied and busy with their personal affairs, yet they interrupt to pray Minchah. So this prayer is especially beloved to G-d.
