A Word From the Rabbi

I am pleased to announce our Summer Solidarity Mission to Israel, continuing the celebration of Israel! If your main connection with Israel is through headlines, it’s time you’ve traveled there! Headlines are old and meaningless by the next day; Israel is timeless, ancient and modern all at the same time. Who can take you there and bring out all the beauty Israel has to offer? Chabad of the Five Towns, with our family-oriented Israel Solidarity Mission this summer. From August 18-28, participants have the privilege of exploring the spiritual, exciting, natural and biblical sites. The trip begins at the center and spans all of Israel, from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, Masada to Tzfat. Featuring comprehensive tours of Israel’s most sacred sites and popular attractions, each day’s itinerary is packed with fun, adventure and inspiration! Chabad Solidarity Missions to Israel represent a true synergy of Torah learning, fun physical activity, spiritual meditative acts, and political and historical actions and the love for the land of Isael. Kiddush
The Kiddush at Chabad this week is sponsored by Mr. Edward Grinfeld and Mr. Boris Volfman in honor of Chabad.

May 3: Birthday Shabbat
Children who celebrate their Hebrew birthday in the Hebrew month of Iyar join together to honor their special day. Birthday cake will be served and a gift will be given to each birthday boy and girl. After Shabbat morning services.

May 13 • Parenting Hour with Mrs. Susy Adler
Spend an enlightening hour examining the connection between home & school with our very own Gan Chamesh pre-School Director, Mrs. Susy Adler. At Chabad 9:30-10:30 am.

Welcome Back Seniors! Once again we are offering a morning of socializing and activities geared especially for you. Join your friends, bring your friends & make new friends. The class will be led by the energetic & vivacious Miriam Hurowitz & Zlata Stein. Looking forward to greeting you on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am

May 14 • Jewish Learning Instute III: Talmudic Ethics
The Talmud recognizes that ethics is complex and subtle, and it knows that complicated questions cannot be answered with a subtle yes or no. Tackle big issues like abortion, euthanasia, freedom of expression and fair business practice. This 6 week course is CLE accredited. May 15: Women's Circle - Rescheduled Date
Chabad's Women's Circle will be holding a special event this month on Women's health. National speaker, Dr. Jonathan Herman, MD FACOG will give a talk on Cancer Awareness and Prevention in the Jewish Community. All women are welcome to join us at the home of Riki Fishbein for a meaningful evening complete with an Open Salad Bar - Healthy Delights, beginning at 8:15 PM. May 18: The Friendship Circle Evening of Recognition
Our 2nd annual evening of tribute and entertainment honoring our Friendship Circle Volunteers.
